Definition
The Tailwind Agent is an application responsible for running scheduled tasks on the Tailwind CMS database.
Components
The Tailwind Agent runs the following scheduled tasks:
Every Minute
- Process queued messages from communication module (faxes, ACE transmissions, and driver pay calculations)
- Process scheduled events from system configuration (scripts, scheduled reports, and scheduled quote, order, and bill templates)
Every 5 Minutes
- Process load matching (send all advertised orders, quotes, and equipment to the load matching module, find any matching loads and equipment)
- Process driver messages (send and receive messages for all configured mobile communications services)
- Process EDI messages (send and receive EDI messages for all configured EDI connections)
- Download ACE message acknowledgements
- Send available loads and equipment to all configured load posting sites
Top of Every Hour
- Expire and reload cached data
- Connect to Tailwind website and download latest license key
- Update exchange rates on all live orders
- Update bill date on all live bills
- Update exchange rates on all live bills
