Definition

EDI is an internationally agreed set of standards for exchanging common business documents electronically.

Components

CMS supports the following EDI document types:

  1. 204: Motor Carrier Load Tender (Inbound Only)
  2. 210: Motor Carrier Freight Details and Invoice (Outbound Only)
  3. 214: Transportation Carrier Shipment Status Message (Outbound Only)
  4. 820: Payment Order/Remittance Advice (Inbound Only)
  5. 824: Application Advice (Inbound Only)
  6. 858: Shipment Information (Inbound Only)
  7. 864: Text Message (Inbound Only)
  8. 990: Response to a Load Tender (Outbound Only)
  9. 997: Functional Acknowledgment (Inbound & Outbound)
