Definition
EDI is an internationally agreed set of standards for exchanging common business documents electronically.
Components
CMS supports the following EDI document types:
- 204: Motor Carrier Load Tender (Inbound Only)
- 210: Motor Carrier Freight Details and Invoice (Outbound Only)
- 214: Transportation Carrier Shipment Status Message (Outbound Only)
- 820: Payment Order/Remittance Advice (Inbound Only)
- 824: Application Advice (Inbound Only)
- 858: Shipment Information (Inbound Only)
- 864: Text Message (Inbound Only)
- 990: Response to a Load Tender (Outbound Only)
- 997: Functional Acknowledgment (Inbound & Outbound)
